June 7, 2012 ended my TENTH year teaching. Yowsers. I don't know if I should feel proud... or just really, really old. Last year, the group of kindergartners I started with graduated eighth grade. This year, they were all freshman and several of them started drivers ed.
None of this, however, made as much of an impact on me as watching my Maggie graduate from 4K. (Cue tears here)Where in the world have the last 5 years gone? Didn't I just walk her to her classroom door on the first day of school? Wait- didn't I just bring her home from the hospital? Sigh.
Maggie - on her first day of 4K (August 2011)
Maggie- all grown up and ready to graduate 4K (June 2012)
My big girl!
Maggie with her beloved teacher, Mrs. Franz. She was such a great match for Maggie, and we were so blessed to have her as Maggie's teacher. She truly made Maggie's first "school" experience a great one!
Getting ready to graduate!
Celebrating with Gramma, Papa, and her sisters
