Tea Time!

For Christmas, Aunt Kath and Uncle Dan bought Maggie a real china tea set. It is one of those toys we only bring out on "special" nights, because we know we will have to play "tea pah-tee" for HOURS! Tonight, after Maggie's bath, she begged to have a "pah-tee" with her tea set..... Enjoy!

Rock N Roll!

Today Gramma came over while Maggie napped so Momma could go to the grocery store ALL ALONE! Of course, before she stopped, she made a quick detour to the second-hand store and scored these FANTASTIC boots.... Maggie couldn't wait to try on her "rock n roll" boots! Of course, we had to dig out her new spring raincoat to complete the look.... and, yes, she posed that way all on her own....

Baby Salmon

Friday, mommy went for yet another ultrasound. At the last appointment, baby was being quite uncooperative, and there was a couple things on their "checklist" they still wanted to see. This time, everyone was much more cooperative!

Mmmm, Mmmmm, Mmmmm!

Yesterday, Maggie dusted off her apron and helped Momma make some cookies for Valentine's Day. She did a great job in quality control, (taste) testing each and every cookie as it was made and frosted! She had a great time frosting the cookies, and an even better time adding the sprinkles! She was really quite proud of herself!

Movin' on Up!

This past week, we reached yet another milestone- Maggie officially "moved in" to her big girl bedroom! She has done pretty well- she has only fallen out once, but has come in our room to wish us a good morning at 5 am both Saturday and Sunday... The ironic thing is that we had to WAKE her up for school on Monday. Go figure! There are still some finishing touches needed (Mom is debating on painting some scattered ladybugs on the walls) but Maggie loves it and is so excited about her "bady-bug" room!

Like Father... Like Daughter?

For those of you who think Maggie looks like her momma, do we have a surprise for you! While looking at some of Dan's baby pictures while in MN, we were FREAKED OUT by the resemblance... Even Maggie looked at the pictures, pointed, and said "Maggie!"

The Car Ride

Riding several hours in a car with an active toddler is much different than traveling with a baby who sleeps most of the way... Keeping Maggie occupied for the long ride to and from MN was, to say the least, a challenge! Books, crayons, singing "The Wheels on the Bus" all begin to lose their appeal when you are strapped in a carseat for over 4 hours. At one point, after Maggie pulled her socks off for the 5th time, we told her to "clean out her toe jam." BRILLIANT! This seriously kept her busy for a half-hour.....



Then, we FINALLY caught her on camera singing her ABC's.... She is too smart to do it for the "real" video camera, but I think I tricked her with the digital camera. (I apologize for the bumpiness- we were on the road!)

Minnesota

Last weekend we had to take an unexpected trip to MN for Dan's grandpa Jim's funeral. The circumstances could have been better, but it was so much fun to visit with the Salmon family. We got "snowed in" back in December and couldn't make it to celebrate our Christmas, so we had the chance to finally celebrate last weekend! We all met cousin Kayden for the first time, and Maggie had a BLAST playing with Keiran all weekend (almost as much fun as mom and dad had playing Wii with Kristin and Corey!)
