Snow Day!

Last Tuesday, we had a SNOW DAY! It was soooo much fun! We were sad that daddy had to go to work, but we stayed home in our "cuddle clothes," lit a fire in the fireplace, snuggled, watched movies, baked cookies, fingerpainted, and even got to play in the snow for a little while! I am not particularly fond of Wisconsin winters, but even I have to admit that watching the big, puffy white snowflakes fall all day was quite beautiful!

Maggie was super excited to head outside, but wasn't so sure of the "cold snow" once we got out.....

...but it didn't take long to start having a great time!

Dan will never admit it, but I know that there is a small (?) part of him that desperately wished for a boy each time.... Growing up in a house full of boys, I am enjoying every second of being a mom of 2 little girls! God sure knew what he was doing, though. He didn't send us a boy the second time. He sent us LUCY.

Lately, she has been showing her true colors- Since she has started crawling about 3 weeks ago, WATCH OUT! Nothing stops that girl... she is in everything, goes everywhere, and if it doesn't work the first time, gosh darnit, she will try it again and again and again until she gets what she wants! And (much like her Unky Doug) has quite the impish grin when she gets caught- you just can't get mad! Here's the first of what we are sure will be MANY posts of Lucy's "shenanigans!" Just wait until she starts walking- Aghh!

Sunday afternoon, Maggie, Momma, and Gramma headed to Milwaukee to see Disney Princesses on Ice! What a great show!

If you're going to see Princesses, you must dress the part!

A Tooth (and other random cuteness....)

On January 3, Lucy's first tooth (bottom left) popped through. 2 weeks later, and still no sign of any other teeth. In the meantime, we're having a great time laughing at our little jack-o-lantern!
