Artwork

Maggie is slowly becoming quite the artist. When she is not singing, dancing, and walking around in high heels, she is busy drawing and "writing." She is actually quite good (if I do say so myself) and can write her name, Lucy (sometimes), mom and dad without help. She loves to draw hearts and rainbows (a true girl!) but mostly draws pictures of her friends and family. The most recent one was just too good not to share...

It's Dan, of course. Look at the hair on his legs! :)

Happy Valentine's Day!

Just for fun, I thought I'd pull some pictures from Valentine's Day past... Enjoy!

No matter how you celebrated today, we hope you had the chance to spend time with those most important to you and took the opportunity to tell someone you love them!

44 Googly Eyes, 1 Gluestick, and lots and lots of construction paper...

....put it all together and what do you get? 22 homemade monkey Valentine's Day cards, of course! Check out the finished product below. Maggie helped and we had LOTS of fun- but I'm a little worried that I set the bar a little high with years and years of Valentines ahead of us.....

Holy Snow, Batman!

Tuesday afternoon it began to snow. Tuesday night, it was still snowing. Wednesday morning was a snow day, and the snow finally stopped later Wednesday afternoon. By the time Dan headed out to start shoveling, the front yard read 26" of snow! Needless to say, we are home again today (Thursday) as the city still works on getting everyone dug out of their houses! It sure is pretty, though!

Looking down the street after the plows have gone through. We live on a fairly busy street- they only went to the corner by our house and turned north. The plows didn't even attempt to head any further east. There were 3-4 cars stuck in the snow in the next 8 blocks, so the plows probably couldn't have gotten through if they tried! (see below)

 Our house.

Snow at the end of the driveway.

Maggie heads out to help Dan shovel!

Lucy was super angry when she looked out the front door to see daddy and Maggie were outside playing and she wasn't!

MISC pictures

Here is a just a modge-podge of misc pictures from Thanksgiving through today (February 3, really?) Enjoy!

 Like their "Rapunzel" hats?

My little bakers- helping make Christmas cookies!

Well, maybe Lucy helped "taste" a bit more than "bake!"

 Busted!

Lucy eats crayons. The blue ones.

Just hangin' out....

 Lucy!

They like each other... They really do!

Did you hear the Packers are going to the Super Bowl?
(Maybe next year, Lucy....)

Didn't quite make the cut...

Here are a couple of shots that didn't make the Christmas card this year.
They were just too cute not to share!

Christmas 2010 - Part 4

Over New Year's, we travelled to MN to celebrate our Christmas with the Salmon side! It was a lot of fun... and we got to see lots of family when we all came together for a luncheon at the nursing home with Grandma Mindrum and, as always, the girls LOVED spending time with Keiran and Kayden!

One of my favorite pictures from the weekend.... Note Dan's totally happy face, Maggie's totally goofy face, Keiran's totally confused face, and Corey, well...notice Corey is wearing Mickey ears...

Grandma Bernie and "the girls"

Must've been scary- Look at Maggie's face!

Maggie's Program

In mid-December, Maggie's daycare had a Christmas program... It was ADORABLE and Maggie was so excited to show off her school, friends and teachers to her dad and Gramma and Papa!

She was getting a little nervous, waiting to start!

 We've been spotted!

 Singing the "Reindeer Pokey..."
You put your red nose in. You put your red nose out....

She saw Santa creep in the door. He was a suprise for all the kids!

My favorite part of this video?
You can TOTALLY see Maggie's "listhp" when she sings! So cute!
