Summer is Here!

Well, almost. In the meantime, we are L-O-V-I-N-G the warm, summer-like weather!

It's official!

Lucy is a toddler. Not by the "textbook" definition- that will happen on her birthday, Friday. Nope. She is toddler, as in, she is "toddling" ALL OVER! She has been taking a step or two here or there for the past few weeks, but suddenly, this past Tuesday, she just took off. There's no stopping her now!

Bath Time!

Because you all need to have a glimpse of what our life is like about 7:00 each evening....

Before her bath every night, Maggie runs from one end of the hall to the other (naked, of course) while she waits for the tub to fill up. One night we asked her what she was doing... Her answer? "Getting gas outta my butt!" Of course.

(Oh, admit it.... you run naked through your halls while you wait for the tub to fill too, don't you?)

Our Newest Neighbors!

The morning of Maggie's birthday party (back in April), Dan woke up to find 2 baby fox(es? There has been much debate about this in our house!) in our backyard. A few weeks later, we saw them again- 3 this time- one morning before school. We think they may be living under the neighbor's shed (we found a dead rabbit right next to it) and crawl under our fence to play in our yard.

We haven't seen them again recently, and think they may have moved on as a result of the country music our neighbor has been playing for them (this is seriously what animal control recommended when she called....) but we did manage to snap a few pictures the last time they visited!

And.... she's off!

Lucy is on the move. A lot. She absolutely hates getting her diaper changed and loves being naked. Great combination. She is cruising all over and we are pretty sure she'll be walking before her birthday. She recently discovered the stairs and thinks she is super cool! After chasing her up the stairs for the 15th time in 10 minutes, we invested in a baby gate. Best $10 ever spent.

Gramma and Papa bought Maggie a "store" for one of her birthday presents. She can spend HOURS in there "checking out" things with her cash register. Her best costumer? Lucy, of course!
