On Sunday, we went to a picnic at Bristol Park to celebrate cousin Milan's baptism. It was such a nice day and a great opportunity to visit with family. Maggie had a blast playing with her cousin Everett and loved dragging Ant Jood's friend Gary all around, too!
Lucy, in full "watermelon" picnic gear!
Poor Lucy always has "plumber butt" in her diapers!
Maggie and Everett playing ladderball...
...and running around...
...and looking at the horses with Uncle Dan...
...and eating cake...
...and more cake...
...and a little more cake!
Lucy with Auntie Katie
and Ant Jood, too!
Maggie, still playing!
Getting tired...
Time for a break!

Minnesota- Here I come!
This past weekend, Maggie and daddy traveled to Minnesota to visit. Daddy spent Friday at the Hazeltine golf tournament with Grandpa Mark and Laura, while Maggie stayed home with Grandma Bernie and splashed in the pool with Keiran, Kayden and Auntie Kristin! It was a super fun weekend, and Maggie has not stopped talking about her trip!
This was a few hours before they were to leave (just a little excited...)

Here are a few pictures Grandma Bernie took over the weekend:

Where does the time go?
Lucy saw Dr. Leslie last week for her 2 month (!) check-up. Besides a slight case of thrush in her mouth, she is doing great! She is quite the chunk-a-lunk! Here were her 2 month stats:
Weight: 13 lb 8 oz (95th percentile)
Height: 22 1/4" (50th percentile)
Head: 15 3/8 " (50th percentile)
She is full of smiles, LOVES to spend time on her tummy, and has started cooing. She surprised us all at 8 weeks when she rolled over from her tummy to her back- she is a tough cookie!
Here is a little video, just to make you smile! I was trying to get her to "talk," but she spent most of the time grunting and "throwing punches" at the camera instead. Enjoy!

SMILE!
Last Wedneday, we hit another milestone in the Salmon house when Maggie made her very first trip to the dentist! She was SUPER excited to go, and did really, really well... She only freaked out a little bit when they tried to clean her teeth with the electric toothbrush... so we settled for brushing them the old fashioned way instead! By far the best part was visiting the "Treasure Chest" at the end of her visit!
Maggie, playing in the waiting room before her visit...
Counting her teeth (she has 20!) The sunglasses were to protect her from the big dentist light!
Showing off her shiny clean teeth!
(yes, Lucy is wearing a matching dress...2 girls are so much fun!)

It's time to edit ourselves....
Let me recap a conversation that happened between mommy and Maggie yesterday afternoon:
Maggie (marching through the kitchen): "Momma, I'm so mad at you!"
Mommy: "Why are you mad, Mags?"
Maggie: "God Dammit! These toys belong in my KITCHEN, not my TOYBOX!"
Oops! We are totally blaming daddy for this one....

Just to make you smile...
After taking a 3 hour nap in her swing yesterday, this is the face Lucy woke up with.... We just couldn't stop laughing (note how her cheeks hang a bit lower than her "real" chin....)

Nice Weather We're Having...
Yesterday happened to be an absolutely gorgeous summer day. Since mom's car is in the shop (and the loaner car leaves a bit to be desired...) we decided to stick around home and play in the pool. Maggie had a great time in her ladybug pool and running through the sprinkler. Lucy decided she would take the time to work on her tan....
