Yesterday at school, my students surprised me with a "baby shower." They made me a really cute booklet of advice for the baby and every student made me a card. I had to share my absolute favorite one, from a student named Steven. If you knew Steven, it would be even funnier.... There are days I wonder what planet Steven is on and if he even noticed my ever-expanding belly the last few months. Apparently, he did, and this is what he had to say:

Yes... we DO feed our child things besides ice cream and brownies... They just aren't as much fun to photograph!

Shirl's
Last summer we had the pleasure of introducing Maggie to Shirl's- a local frozen custard place that is quite the summer tradition. Every morning on our way to school, we pass Shirl's. Maggie sees the large ice cream cone on the sign, and yells, "Ice Cream, Mama!" Finally, this past week, the weather warmed up enough to make our first trip to Shirl's for custard this season. Maggie loved every second!
Yum!

Last... but certainly not least...
All week, we attempted to get Maggie to dress up and get an "old time" portrait done... but she adamantly refused (she learned this from her Uncle Doug.) On our final day in Branson, we asked if she would do it if mommy and daddy got "dressed up" too... That was a whole new story! Maggie thought this was SOOOO much fun! Not quite the picture we wanted, but it turned out cute, anyway!
