Christmas 2 1/2....

On New Year's Day, we got to celebrate Christmas AGAIN- this time with Auntie Kristin, Uncle Corey, Keiran, Kayden, Auntie Laura and
Uncle (tee-hee!) Mark....SO MUCH FUN!
No matter how much time goes by between visits, Maggie and Keiran quickly become fast friends again!

Trying on the jewelry from the Tinkerbell dress up box!

"Bippity, Boppity, Boo!" Keiran and Maggie in their fairy dress up clothes. (Thanks, Auntie Laura- we still haven't been able to get her out of these clothes!)

Fairy Maggie with her magic wand

Auntie Laura wanted to join the fun..... (does anyone else find it terribly depressing that these clothes actually FIT her?)

Christmas #2

It's taken some time, but here are some photos from our second Christmas celebration with the Salmon family! We made it up to MN over New Year's. The weather was c-o-l-d, but safer than driving in the awful weather over Christmas! Grandma Bernie and Grandpa Mark were out celebrating New Year's Eve dinner with friends when we arrived, but Maggie waited up for them to make it home... and heck, since we were all awake, why not open some presents?

Presents sure made every minute of the 4.5 hour drive worth it for Maggie!

Opening gifts with Grandpa Mark!

Lucy was more excited about the tissue paper than the actual presents....

The Snow White doll was an obvious hit!

Lucy opens presents with Grandma Bernie's help!

Cool toys!

Poor, Poor Lucy

This past weekend while in MN, Grandpa Mark commented that Lucy "looks a lot like (Gramma) Carol." Ha! In the meantime, Gramma Carol found THIS picture in the basement while packing Christmas decorations away..... I don't think there's any doubt the 2 are related!
Lucy- 4 months
Gramma Carol- 5 months

6 month Check-Up

Lucy went for her 6 month "well visit" appointment on December 30 (yeah, yeah.... almost 7 months old, but whatever....) She is growing and growing and growing, and doing exactly what she should be doing at 6 months. Lucy had a blast playing with (and eating!) the exam table paper, but it was no consolation when she got 5 (yes, FIVE! Ouch!) shots in those chubby thighs at the end of her visit! The doctor also found she had an ear infection in her left ear, which we think explains some of her irritability and waking up at night lately. He started her on some amoxicillan, and she seems better already! Here are her stats:
Height: 26" (50th percentile)
Weight: 18 lb 6 oz (90th percentile)
Head: 17 1/8" (50th percentile)

(On a side note- I know you are not supposed to compare, but I HAD to look and see how these numbers compared to Maggie's stats.... Almost identical, except for the weight. Lucy has a full 2 pounds on Maggie!)

Here are some cute pix from the doctor's office
(Mom doesn't go ANYWHERE without her camera!)

Drool much?

Had Santa known this was so much fun, he could have saved a ton of time (and money!) getting presents for Christmas this year!

Giggle Puss!

This giggle fit of Lucy's happened completely by accident. Lucy was quietly playing on the floor, and Maggie was running about, dancing, singing, and being, well, 2 1/2. All of a sudden, Maggie tripped and fell, right in front of Lucy... which started a fit of giggling that lasted and lasted and lasted..... Intentional or not, we have found Maggie is the only one who can get Lucy to giggle like this!

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells....

Santa Came! Santa Came!

This year was SOOOOO fun! Maggie is finally at an age where the entire concept of Santa kind of makes sense. She was so excited to open stockings and then run downstairs to see what Santa brought! (sorry about the dark video.... Mom never thought to have the lights turned on BEFORE Maggie came down the stairs!)
Opening stockings...
...and Lucy's stocking!

Maggie was THRILLED with the cash register Santa brought!

Lucy is a reindeer!

Helping Daddy open presents

Soooooo excited!

Maggie got a new bathrobe!

Maggie and Gramma took a top secret trip to the dollar store to pick out presents for mommy and daddy. Here is daddy showing off his gifts (mommy got a matching purple hat and black horse!)

Maggie with mommy's hat and horse!

Maggie decided the horse made a pretty good "ree-tar" (just like the guy on TV!)

Lucy looked pretty cute in the cowboy hat, too!

Smiles!
